Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Workday Certified Data Conversion Lead to drive end-to-end data migration workstreams on Workday HCM implementation projects. This role is responsible for leading client engagements, owning data strategy, managing conversion activities, and ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality data delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience in Workday Data Conversion, strong functional knowledge of HCM, and a proven track record leading teams through complex data migration efforts. Key Responsibilities As the Workday Data Conversion Lead, you will: • Lead the full data conversion workstream for Workday implementations, serving as the primary point of contact for all data-related activities. • Develop and execute the data conversion strategy, including data mapping, extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading. • Own Workday iLoad, EIB, and data template design and oversee development, testing, and migration readiness. • Manage detailed data workplans and ensure milestones, deliverables, and quality standards are met across all phases. • Conduct advanced troubleshooting for complex data issues, discrepancies, and load failures. • Guide clients through legacy system data extraction, gap analysis, and preparation for conversion. • Lead data validation cycles, including unit, SIT/UAT, parallel testing, and final cutover activities. • Partner with cross-functional leads (HCM, Payroll, Integrations, Reporting, Security) to ensure alignment across workstreams. • Advise clients at a strategic level on data architecture, risks, mitigation strategies, and best practices. • Mentor junior consultants, providing oversight, direction, and hands-on support where needed. • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness throughout the project. • Stay up to date with Workday releases, conversion tools, and technical updates to drive continuous improvement. Key Skills and Qualifications (Lead Role) • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. • Must be Workday Certified in HCM; Workday Data Conversion certification strongly preferred. • 3–5+ years of hands-on Workday Data Conversion experience, including leading or senior-level responsibilities. • Proven experience converting data across multiple Workday functional areas (HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Financials, etc.). • Strong expertise with iLoads, EIBs, data mapping, transformation logic, and data validation. • Experience extracting data from legacy ERPs such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, or SAP. • Strong background in data architecture, data audits, reconciliation, and data quality frameworks. • Advanced proficiency with Excel, formula logic, and data manipulation tools (e.g., ASAP Utilities). • Excellent communication and client-facing skills with the ability to explain complex data topics clearly. • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing client expectations. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail.
