We’re a hybrid team, with roots in Santa Monica and teammates distributed across the U.S. and Europe.The OpportunityAs a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll join a small, talented team building Collectly’s core pre-service product. Our stack is Python-first, and we’re looking for engineers who are comfortable designing and evolving backend systems in Python. Experience with React is a strong plus, especially if you enjoy working across the stack to deliver polished, user-facing experiences. You'll collaborate closely with the founder, engineering leadership, product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship high-quality, impactful features for healthcare providers and patients alike.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the founder, product managers, designers, and engineers to design and build a high-impact product.Build and ship critical features with intent, strong attention to detail, and a focus on long-term maintainability and scalability.Own features end to end, from shaping requirements and implementation to testing, observability, deployment, and iteration in production.Contribute to and help shape our engineering culture as the team grows.Required QualificationsYou have 6+ years of experience building and operating complex web applications in production environments.You have strong experience building backend systems, ideally in Python using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.You’re comfortable working across the stack. Experience with React is a strong plus, especially if you enjoy building thoughtful, user-facing experiences.You understand that velocity and quality aren’t opposites. When well done, they’re multiplicative.You think in terms of outcomes, not just implementations.
