This role involves both frontend and backend responsibilities, with a strong focus on API development, database management, and system integrations.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Full-Stack Node.js Developer to build and maintain our Express applications, manage backend integrations, and optimize both frontend and backend performance. The ideal candidate has experience with MongoDB, AWS (or Heroku), and RESTful APIs, along with a strong understanding of CI/CD processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement new features for Express-based applications.
Develop and maintain frontend views using Pug, Datatables, and jQuery.
Manage Node.js/Express backends, including MongoDB/Mongoose and external API integrations.
Write API and end-to-end test suites to ensure code quality.
Maintain clear developer documentation for applications.
Monitor GitHub issues and troubleshoot bugs efficiently.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of professional experience in software development (internships and personal projects welcome).
Strong skills in Node.js, Express, and MongoDB/Mongoose.
Experience working with RESTful APIs and CI/CD pipelines (Git/GitHub).
Ability to write unit and integration tests using Jest, Mocha, or similar frameworks.
Familiarity with AWS, Heroku, or other cloud platforms.
Understanding of Datatables or other data visualization libraries.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs).
Willingness to work with AI-powered development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Co-Pilot, Claude).
