It's about building the operating system for modern entrepreneurship and giving founders world-class strategy, financial clarity, and execution horsepower from startup to M&A.About The RoleAs a Senior Accounting Manager, you will oversee a pod of Accounting Managers, bookkeepers and a book of clients. You will be the main support and direction for your team so it is imperative that you are an outstanding communicator and have strong business acumen paired with Accounting Expertise. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of weekly and monthly financial reporting to clients via your team and will serve as an escalation point and thought partner for your clients. You will be responsible for the accuracy of the data presented and are the last stop for quality control of deliverables. The most successful candidate will be a proven leader and will have a strong background in a multi-client environment, e-commerce, and be extremely tech savvy.ResponsibilitiesThis role is solutions-oriented and requires proactive engagement to ensure client success.Oversee month-end close and all key accounting-related activities for your pod Financial Package Review: Reviewing Management Reports with Key Metrics Accounting Package Review: Ensuring proper reconciliations for ALL balance sheet accounts and trend analysis for both the balance sheet and P&LInventory Management Review: including reconciling inventory (Physical, Sub to GL), Inventory write off and Obsolescence adjustments, and reviewing individual product costs and ensuring accuracy in inventory software and systems.Review Accounts Receivable processing and aging reports (no collections)Review Accounts Payable processing and aging reports and bill payments in Bill.com (or related software) for clientsReview Payroll Processing including journal entries and accrualsProvide ad hoc reports or details as requestedOversee client communications and serve as an escalation pointSupervise and train team on client and administrative dutiesHelp develop SOPs and training documentsManage budget for your podMaintain clean files and document storageParticipate in Training as directedContribute to the internal team as a thought partnerQualifications5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting2+ years of experience in a multi-client or consulting role2+ years of experience leading a teamMinimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting requiredAdvanced level expertise in QBO and ExcelNetSuite and Xero experience a huge advantageExperience with e-commerce clients is requiredExperience reconciling Shopify, PayPal, bill.com, etc. requiredSolid understanding of GAAP and a firm grasp of accounting best practicesSolid understanding of financial statements and how to evaluate themExcellent analytical and communication skillsAbility to effectively prioritize and manage time in a remote work environment Proactive and team-centric attitude
