Responsibilities and deliverables

We are looking for an expert SecOps Engineer to join a high-impact remote team focused on protecting complex applications and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. If you have a strong background in application security, secure code reviews, penetration testing, and security automation, this opportunity is for you. Responsibilities: - Conduct expert-level secure code reviews aligned with OWASP Top 10 and CWE. - Identify and remediate vulnerabilities such as Broken Access Control, IDOR, SQL Injection, Command Injection, and Deserialization flaws. - Build and enhance security automation tools using Python, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript. - Perform penetration testing and partner with engineering teams on remediation. - Drive secure coding best practices across the software development lifecycle. - Stay ahead of emerging threats and strengthen application defenses. Requirements: - 5+ years in software engineering or security operations. - Strong hands-on experience in application-layer security. - Expertise in secure code review and professional penetration testing. - Proficiency in Python, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Fluent English. - Availability for 6+ hours overlap with Eastern Time. Nice to have: - Experience with vulnerability management platforms. - Certifications such as OSCP / GIAC. - Exposure to cloud and container security. Rate: $30–$100/hour. Location: Fully Remote.
