Position Overview:
The Technical SEO Specialist will own the auditing, diagnosis, and resolution of technical SEO issues across a range of client websites. You’ll collaborate closely with SEO strategists and developers to ensure sites remain fast, indexable, error-free, and aligned with best practices. This is a hands-on role where you will not only identify issues but also implement CMS-level solutions and technical fixes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits across multiple sites.
Diagnose issues related to crawlability, indexation, site structure, performance, and metadata.
Implement non-developer technical SEO fixes within CMS environments (e.g., WordPress).
Collaborate with SEO strategists and developers to resolve more complex issues.
Monitor and report on key technical health metrics through GSC, GA4, and other tools.
Maintain documentation of technical changes, recommendations, and outcomes.
Identify opportunities for improved site performance and scalable optimizations.
Qualifications:
2 – 4+ years of experience in technical SEO.
Strong proficiency with key tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs.
Experience conducting technical audits and implementing non-developer fixes.
Solid understanding of site architecture, indexing, sitemaps, canonicalization, and page-speed optimization.
Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Haves:
Experience working in agency environments or across multiple websites.
WordPress experience.
Familiarity with accommodations/lodging industry sites.
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS or CMS template behavior (not required).
