Responsibilities and deliverables

We are looking for an expert Python + Go Developer to join an exciting remote contract opportunity focused on AI training infrastructure, system integrations, and large-scale codebase migrations. This is an excellent role for engineers who enjoy working across multiple language ecosystems, leading migration projects, and building scalable, production-grade systems. Responsibilities: - Developing and optimizing robust solutions using Python and Go (Golang). - Leading codebase migrations and system rewrites between Python and Go. - Collaborating with engineering and AI teams to strengthen AI training infrastructure. - Driving best practices in software engineering, automation, and testing. - Contributing to architecture decisions and technical roadmaps. - Participating in code reviews and mentoring engineers on migration and interoperability strategies. Requirements: - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience. - Strong hands-on expertise in Python and Go. - Proven experience with codebase migrations, rewrites, and cross-language integrations. - Strong production environment experience. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Ability to work independently in a remote distributed team. - Availability for 6+ hours overlap with Eastern Time. - Strong ownership mindset and technical decision-making skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in AI / Machine Learning / Data Engineering. - Experience leading migration projects or mentoring teams. - Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and CI/CD best practices.
