Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and certified Workday Absence and Time Tracking Lead to support and lead Workday HCM implementations, with a strong focus on U.S. Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll integration. This role will serve as a client-facing lead, responsible for driving solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment across the full Workday project lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise, strong consulting skills, and the ability to guide clients on both Workday best practices and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
As the Workday Absence and Time Tracking Lead, you will:
• Lead the Absence and Time Tracking workstreams on Workday implementation projects and act as the primary client contact for these functional areas
• Design, configure, and deploy Workday Absence and Time Tracking solutions, including PTO, holidays, and LOA plans
• Support all phases of the Workday project lifecycle, from planning and design through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
• Advise clients on Workday best practices and U.S. statutory and regulatory requirements
• Partner with Payroll, Integrations, Reporting, Security, and Financials teams to ensure end-to-end solution alignment
• Support Absence and Time Tracking data conversion activities and resolve complex configuration and payroll-related issues
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and capability development
Key Skills and Qualifications (Lead Role)
• Must be a Workday Certified Consultant through a Workday Partner
• Active Workday U.S. Absence and Time Tracking certification required
• Strong experience with U.S. Payroll, including settlement, taxes, and federal, state, and local regulations
• Proven experience across all stages of the Workday implementation lifecycle
• Deep knowledge of Absence and Time Tracking configuration, calculated fields, and conversion files
• Ability to advise clients on U.S. labor laws for hourly and salaried employees
• Understanding of how Absence and Time Tracking integrate with Payroll, Financials, and Projects
• Familiarity with third-party payroll providers such as ADP
• Familiarity with third-party time clock systems such as Kronos
• Strong consulting, communication, and client-facing skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects or workstreams with minimal oversight
• Experience mentoring and training junior consultants
• Industry experience in Financial Services, Hospitality, Law Firms, or Staffing Agencies is a plus
