Requirements and responsibilities

We are looking for a Technical Operations Manager (API Integrations - US (Remote)) to lead the acquisition and management of API integrations with U.S. state agencies (DMV/BMV/DPS). This is a high-impact role focused on unlocking access to government data systems and building scalable integrations across all states. You will own the full integration lifecycle from identifying APIs and securing access to ensuring compliance and ongoing system reliability. What You Will Do: API Integrations & Access (Core Focus): - Identify APIs, data feeds, and integration methods across states. - Determine access types (REST, SOAP, SFTP, portals, third-party providers). - Contact agencies to validate access and onboarding requirements. - Build and maintain a structured database of integrations. Integration Ownership: - Own the full lifecycle: discovery outreach application approval. - Secure API credentials, sandbox access, and production approvals. - Coordinate technical onboarding (IP whitelisting, credentials, etc.). Agency Communication: - Act as the main point of contact for state agencies. - Communicate on both operational and basic technical topics. - Drive consistent follow-ups to move integrations forward. Compliance & Documentation: - Manage applications and compliance documentation (DPPA, security, etc.). - Ensure all records are accurate and audit-ready. - Support audits and regulatory requirements.
