About our Company:
Kira is building the first AI-native global banking-as-a-service platform. We provide modern banking infrastructure to companies in emerging markets powering essential financial services — including remittances, import/export payments, and payroll. Our mission is to make global financial access seamless, programmable, and intelligent. We have raised $7M in seed funding, led by Blockchange Ventures, Stellar and Vamos Ventures. Our customers include global leaders such as OXXO, Binance and Polygon.
About our Team:
The team is led by fintech veterans with backgrounds from Stanford, Dartmouth, and Wharton. The CEO, Edrizio De La Cruz, is a former partner at Y Combinator and founder of Arcus (sold to Mastercard). He is also the bestselling author of The Underdog Founder. Learn more about his story: HERE.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Product Manager who will operate in true founder-mode — owning the infrastructure and compliance layers that make Kira's platform trustworthy and scalable: Virtual US Bank Accounts, KYB/KYC onboarding, and transaction monitoring (KYT). This role leads product at the intersection of engineering, compliance, and AI. You will define and ship the systems that get clients onboarded faster, keep transactions clean, and replace manual compliance workflows with intelligent, autonomous agents — so our team can focus on judgment calls, not repetitive reviews.
In this role, you will:
You will act like a founding product designer, partnership-driven and execution-obsessed.
- Virtual USD Bank Account infrastructure: Own the product definition for how clients provision, manage, and operate virtual accounts on Kira's platform — including account lifecycle, balance management, subaccount structures, and banking partner constraints.
- Compliance onboarding (KYB/KYC): Design and continuously improve the end-to-end onboarding experience for business clients. This means defining the data collection flows, document verification steps, risk tiering logic, and approval workflows that get legitimate clients live — fast — while meeting our banking partners' requirements.
- Transaction monitoring (KYT): Own the product layer above our KYT engine. Define the rules, thresholds, alert workflows, and case management experience that our compliance team uses daily. You will work closely with compliance analysts to understand where the system creates noise versus signal — and close that gap.
- Compliance agents: Build the product case for AI-powered agents that automate high-volume, rule-based compliance workflows — including SAR/STR drafting, KYB re-verification triggers, counterparty screening, and transaction alert triage. You will define what gets automated, what stays human, and how handoffs work.
- Banking partner alignment: Translate the requirements from our correspondent banking partners (account opening criteria, KYB documentation standards, ongoing monitoring obligations) into clear product requirements. You are the bridge between what compliance demands and what engineering builds.
- Operational metrics: Define and own the KPIs that measure compliance product health — onboarding completion rates, time-to-approve, alert-to-SAR conversion rates, false positive rates, and case resolution time.
What We are Looking For:
- Compliance product depth: You have worked with or alongside compliance teams especially within fintech environments.
- Virtual account or banking infrastructure experience: You have built or contributed to products involving account creation, FBO structures, or correspondent banking integrations.
- AI/automation product instinct: You have defined or shipped products that use AI agents, and LLM-powered workflows.
- Technical fluency: SQL proficiency, comfortable reading API docs, reviewing transaction data schemas, and working through edge cases with engineers.
- Strong written communication: You can communicate trade-offs clearly to engineers, compliance officers, and internal stakeholders.
- Metrics-driven: You define success criteria before you build; onboarding conversion, review SLAs, false positive rates, and operational throughput are the numbers you live by.
- Founder-mode mindset: High ownership, extreme urgency, and the ability to operate with minimal direction. You close the loop.
