Graphic Interactive & Game Designer
Bogotá, Bogota, Colombia
I'm a video game designer with a proven track record in the LATAM gaming industry. I'm an expert in balance design, economy design, game systems design, and UX/UI design for digital projects.
I have a strong background in arts and design from the University Foundation of Bogotá 'Jorge Tadeo Lozano', where I developed a keen interest in video games and digital products. During my time there, I also established a creative and research hub to educate aspiring interactive design students about game design and game development.
Becoming a game designer was a natural choice for me because I want to create experiences that take players to the next level of fun, improving their manual, cognitive, and social skills while playing. I know this might sound like what everyone says, but what truly fulfils me is seeing the passionate expressions of everyone who interacts with something I've created. When they offer feedback for improvement, it gives me a sense of accomplishment, knowing that I've managed to connect with them, even if it's through the tiniest details in the game. I always strive to stay away from Skinner box tactics and ensure that the in-game economy makes sense for the progression of the gameplay.
As a game designer, I have successfully designed games for various platforms in the independent LATAM gaming scene. I've worked on projects developed during game jams and collaborated with studios that have recognised my talents and abilities. At Dreams Uncorporated, I gained valuable insights into game balance and creating immersive RPG experiences. During my time at Wabisabi Design, I learned that porting involves creating engaging sensations, rather than focusing solely on controls and UI for AR games.
