Backend developer with 5+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs on Node.JS with Express Servers and MongoDB persistence layers (Mongoose ORM). I've also participated with FrontEnd Developers using JavaScript as my primary programming language over React. My day to day tools are Git and GitHub for sourc code version control system and code repositories, VSCode for editing code, Compass for database querying, Postman for API testing. I use Linux (Ubuntu distro) as my main development OS and have extensive experience using the command line interface (CLI) and a diverse array of Linux commands and utilities. As Information Systems Engineer (BS) have a deep understanding of the relation between hardware, firmware, OS and sofware. I also have a very good understanding of networking and OSI Model Layers and how it affects and interacts with a Backend or FrontEnd application. I fully understand Relational Dabatases (RDBMS), Object Oriented Databases (ODBMS) and Non-Relational (NoSQL) Databases. Can read and understand UML documentation, and E-R Diagrams.
