Remote monitoring of UPS and Batteries over the SNMP for a Wireless Internet Provider

To address the challenge of the status of Batteries and UPS present on the sites which cause sudden downtime for site present in the remote areas. For a service provider, site down is a challenge as they have to honor the agreed SLA. This critical issue was solved by YUPS IoT gateway which can communicate over the SNMP/HTTP/MQTT protocol and generate real-time data and alerts to the server. After implementing this solution, the number of visits by a field engineer to a particular site is decreased drastically and up-time of the site increased considerably.

YUPS deployed an IoT gateway with a web application generating real-time alerts which helps for timely maintenance, preventing misuse and better planning for supply chain team.

Remote Asset Monitoring for a World’s leading Telecom and Network Infrastructure Company

Telecom and networking companies install hardware at their enterprise customer facilities. When the internet doesn’t work, the customer calls up the service provider for rectification. A service engineer is assigned who visits the site to find: 1. There is no Power in the premises and hence the internet is down. 2. The internet is restored by simply resetting the device (Switching it off and then on) 3. The internet is restored by pulling the jack out from the router and plugging it back in. Asset monitoring and Control of a Cellular Tower Infrastructure

The major challenge of Cellular tower companies are having the control on Diesel Generator (DG), DG Fuel levels, DG Run hours, availability of Electricity, Power Consumption, Battery health status, Temperature monitoring of the site. Also for small issues, they need to send the field engineer to remote sites. Helped to monitor and prevent fuel theft. Conditional Alerts from the shelter helped to take prompt action in case of failure of battery bank or HVAC. Also, the asset utilization at each site helped to plan the deployment of sites which fell short of resources. Overall improving the efficiency and downtime of the tower.
