Network & IT Administrator Ansius (for a Confidential Client) Salem, Germany - Hybrid - Full-time - Mid-level - High-tech Software * 50,000 - 70,000 EUR gross/year Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Network & IT Administrator to take responsibility for the operation, security, and continuous development of a modern IT infrastructure within a growing high-tech software environment. This role is ideal for an IT professional with strong expertise in Linux, networking, VPN, firewall, and IT security who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of infrastructure. Our client provides a challenging environment where the successful candidate will manage, monitor, and improve networks, servers, and systems while ensuring the scalability of the infrastructure as the organization grows. Our client expects the candidate to troubleshoot complex issues, maintain detailed documentation, and support customer projects through hardware preparation and occasional on-site maintenance. Requirements Critical Requirements * Completed IT-related vocational training, degree, or equivalent professional experience * 3+ years of professional experience in network administration, IT infrastructure, or IT security * Strong knowledge of network administration (LAN/WAN) * Solid experience administering Linux servers * Hands-on experience with VPN, firewalls, backup management, and patch management * German language proficiency at C2/native level * English language proficiency at B2 level or higher * EU or NATO citizenship (US citizenship excluded due to project requirements) * Ability and willingness to obtain the required security clearance * Residency within 45-60 minutes of Salem, Germany, or genuine willingness to relocate Important Requirements * Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills * Good understanding of IT security, encryption technologies, and certificates * Willingness to work predominantly on-site in Salem, Germany Nice to Have Requirements * Experience with system rollouts and infrastructure scaling * Previous experience in security-critical technology projects About Our client is a growing high-tech software company operating within security-critical technology sectors.
