Role & Company Overview
Construction is one of the largest industries in the U.S and it still runs on word of mouth, group texts, and lead-gen companies that sell the same homeowner to 10 other contractors at once. Contractors know it's broken. They've told us, on thousands of calls.
HeyPros is building the fix.
HeyPros has grown by 500 active users in less than 12 months. Our marketplace connects subcontractors with homeowners and with general contractors and construction companies seeking tradespeople. Join a growing team where your customer insight can shape how we sell and serve business owners.
You'll be talking to people who build things for a living, who work hard, and who have been let down by every tool that promised to help them grow. Closing them isn't just a sale. It's putting a better option in the hands of people who deserved one a long time ago.
What makes HeyPros different
Many home-improvement businesses come to us frustrated after paying for opportunities (leads) that were not a fit. We earn their trust by understanding their business and giving them a clear basis for deciding whether HeyPros is right for them and how they can succeed with us.
Marketing managed in-house. Our marketing team focuses on attracting more qualified homeowner inquiries and improving the opportunities reaching contractors.
Straightforward choices. Monthly options offer an alternative to long-term commitments. We explain pricing and terms clearly, with annual and custom options available for those who prefer them.
Two sources of opportunity. Contractors can connect with homeowner demand and opportunities from general contractors and construction companies through the same platform.
A consultative approach. We learn the contractor's trade, service area, capacity, project values, past marketing experience, and goals before recommending a package.
How you will earn their trust and business
Own the sale. Manage inbound inquiries, older CRM opportunities, and outbound prospects through discovery, closing, and a complete customer handoff.
Adapt to the person. Learn when different prospects are reachable and how they make decisions. Tailor your questions, tone, timing, and follow-up to the business owner you are speaking with.
Make the economics clear. Connect the package to project values, margins, and follow-up effort. Set accurate expectations without promising jobs or returns.
Build new channels. Develop referrals and strategic relationships with franchises, multi-location businesses, and other potential partners.
Keep improving. Review call patterns and contact times with the team. Test changes, track their results, and maintain accurate HubSpot records and next steps.
Your ramp
We don't expect month-three numbers in week one. Here's the actual progression:
Day 1 and 2: Training, shadowing live calls, learning the script. Target: 3 closings in the first working week.
Weeks 2-4: Full dial volume. Target: 1 closing per day. By end of month 1 the requirement is to close 35.
Month 2: 45+ closings
Month 3 and beyond: 4–10 deals/day depending on the week.
Compensation and earning potential
Base plus uncapped commissions. USD $1,300 monthly base, paid regardless of sales performance. Earnings above the base depend on results.
Total monthly potential. From the low $2,000s to $6,000-$8,000 and beyond, depending on new business acquired. At 35 qualifying closes, you can earn $2,800 or more, including base and commissions.
Outbound upside. Eligible outbound sales earn additional compensation for the following three months. This trailing compensation does not apply to inbound sales.
Commission rates, eligibility, and payment terms are provided in writing during hiring.
Expectations and career growth
What success looks like
Own what you control. Bring a constructive attitude, use your working time intentionally, and take responsibility for the consistency and quality of your effort.
Ask for feedback early. If activity drops or conversations are not flowing, identify where you are stuck. Bring specific examples to the team, apply constructive feedback, and track improvement. Act before someone else notices days later.
Learn the customer. Keep building your understanding of contractor concerns and buying decisions. Earn trust through relevant conversations, then ask for the sale when there is a fit.
Meet the standard. Minimum 175 dials per full working day and 35 qualifying closes per month after ramp. Conversation quality, customer fit, and follow-through matter alongside volume.
Work arrangement and availability
Remote contractor role. Sell to US-based businesses. This is initially an independent contractor opportunity.
Weekday coverage. Plan outreach within contractor availability, generally 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the markets covered. Actual coverage hours are agreed before starting.
Part-time weekends required. Hours vary, but you must connect with new account signups to introduce HeyPros and establish next steps. Weekends are often when these business owners are most available.
Languages. Fluent English required. Spanish and Portuguese strongly preferred but not required.
What you bring and what we provide
Relevant experience. A record of closing by phone with measurable results. One to five years is preferred; ability matters more than tenure. Contractor, home-service, small-business, marketing, SaaS, staffing, or construction technology experience is a plus.
Sales discipline. Strong discovery, confident closing, resilience, coachability, reliable CRM habits, and the ability to work independently.
Tools and support. A playbook, prospect lists, dialer, HubSpot, weekly call reviews, one-on-one coaching, and direct access to leadership.
Initial training. The first two days cover product training, call shadowing, and practice. Ramp expectations are agreed before starting.
