Role Overview:
- As an OBC & Communications AIT Engineer, you will own the assembly, integration, verification, and testing of the satellite’s On-Board Computer (OBC) and communications subsystems.
- This is a highly hands-on engineering role where you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for OBC and communications-related issues throughout manufacturing and integration.
- Working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams, you will ensure mission-critical embedded hardware and communication systems are successfully integrated, validated, and prepared for production.
- You will play a key role in identifying integration risks, resolving complex technical issues, supporting design improvements, and helping scale the manufacturing of advanced satellite platforms.
- We welcome applications from engineers with backgrounds in space, defence, avionics, telecommunications, automotive, or other high-reliability embedded hardware environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the assembly, integration, verification, and testing of onboard computer (OBC) and communications subsystems.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for OBC and communications-related issues during manufacturing and integration.
- Perform hands-on inspection, verification, troubleshooting, and functional testing of embedded hardware.
- Investigate non-conformances using structured root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to design reviews, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Test (DFT), and production readiness activities.
- Work closely with design engineering, manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure successful subsystem integration.
- Apply system-level thinking to identify integration risks across multiple hardware interfaces.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, integration procedures, test documentation, NCRs, and corrective action records.
- Support production ramp-up and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing reliability and repeatability.
Requirements:
