🚨 We're Hiring | General Manager Financial Control – Johannesburg Our client, a leading and well-known South African brand, is looking for an exceptional General Manager: Financial Control to join their leadership team based in Johannesburg. This is a strategic leadership role reporting directly to the Group CFO and is ideal for a commercially minded finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 📍 Location: Lorentzville, Johannesburg 💰 Package: Up to R1.8 Million CTC (Negotiable) 🏢 Work Model: Office-Based What We're Looking For: ✔ A self-starter who can operate independently while influencing stakeholders across the business. ✔ A strong people leader with proven management experience. ✔ A commercially astute finance professional who can translate financial insights into business decisions. ✔ Someone who is positively assertive, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. ✔ Industry experience is preferred, although not essential. Key Requirements: ✔ CA(SA) or CIMA qualification. ✔ 7–10 years' experience in a senior financial management role. ✔ Strong experience in financial control, governance, compliance, reporting, and analysis. ✔ Advanced knowledge of IFRS, tax legislation, financial systems, and corporate governance. ✔ Experience engaging with senior leadership and executive teams. ✔ Proven leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the financial control and compliance function. • Oversee financial reporting, statutory reporting, tax, cash flow, and audit processes. • Provide strategic financial insight to support business decision-making. • Drive commercial analysis, margin improvement, pricing reviews, and business performance. • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team. • Present financial results and insights to executive stakeholders. • Support business growth through financial modelling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
