Requirements and responsibilities


Role - Lead DevOps Engineer Location – Los Angeles CA Mode – Remote (however, needs to be available for on-site as per client requirement, at least 1 day a week). Overview We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to support and evolve our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on live events and high-availability systems. This role will lead DevOps practices across cloud platforms, drive Infrastructure as Code, and ensure reliable, scalable deployments in a fast-paced media/entertainment environment (Paramount-scale). Key Responsibilities - Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS and GCP. - Support live events platforms, ensuring high availability, low latency, and rapid incident response. - Own and evolve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. - Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using tools such as Flux and Argo CD. - Collaborate closely with development, SRE, and platform teams to enable reliable CI/CD pipelines. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production environments. - Champion DevOps best practices, automation, and cloud cost efficiency. - Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership. - Prepare to learn and adopt OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) as part of future platform expansion. Required Skills & Experience - Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS and GCP. - Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning. - Practical knowledge of GitOps principles and tools (Flux, Argo CD). - Experience supporting production systems, ideally for live or event-driven workloads. - Solid understanding of CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native architectures. - Comfortable working in fast-moving, high-impact environments.
