Requirements and responsibilities

About the Role You'll lead social media strategy and execution across a portfolio of 4-6 US-based clients at a small, high-standards agency. This is a hybrid strategist-executor role — you'll build the strategy AND roll up your sleeves to create, review, and ship content when the team is lean. You'll manage 1-3 junior social specialists and be responsible for quality, timelines, and client satisfaction. This is not a "set it and schedule it" role. We need someone who thinks strategically, executes cleanly, and keeps the train on the tracks. --- What You'll Do Strategy (40%) Develop social media strategies per client (channel selection, messaging, content pillars, posting cadence) Build media plans aligned with client business goals Conduct audits, competitive analysis, and performance reviews Present strategy recommendations to clients with confidence Execution (30%) Create and publish content when needed — captions, creative briefs, ad copy Set up and manage paid social campaigns (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok) Step in as hands-on executor when team capacity is tight Maintain content calendars and ensure nothing slips Team & Project Management (30%) Oversee 1-3 junior social specialists — assign work, review output, give feedback Own delivery timelines — if it's due Thursday, it ships Thursday Run weekly internal syncs and client standups Catch quality issues before they reach the client Track time accurately in ClickUp (every hour, every task) --- ⚠️ English Requirement: Near-Native Fluency (Non-Negotiable) This role requires near-native English — written AND spoken. You will be: On video calls with US-based clients weekly Writing client-facing copy, strategy documents, and reports Drafting emails and Slack messages that represent the agency Giving feedback and direction to team members in English If you hesitate when writing a professional email, need to translate in your head before speaking, or regularly get corrected on grammar — this isn't the right fit. We need someone who communicates in English as naturally as a native speaker. We will assess this in the interview. --- Must-Haves Near-native English fluency (see above — we mean it) 3-5+ years in social media marketing with strategy AND execution experience Agency experience — you understand multiple clients, competing priorities, and tight deadlines Proven ability to manage timelines and people — you drive delivery, not chase it Platform expertise: Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok Strong copywriting skills — you write compelling social copy, not just schedule posts Comfortable with data — you read analytics, pull insights, and adjust strategy Reliable, accurate time tracking (ClickUp) — tracked hours = accountability --- Nice-to-Haves Experience with Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar tools Basic design sense (Canva, Figma familiarity) Paid social budget management ($5K-$50K/mo) Spanish language skills (useful, not required) AI tools for content creation/optimization US work or education history
