Seeking a senior-level SAP ABAP Developer with 7–10+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience to support and enhance enterprise SAP solutions. This role bridges project delivery and ongoing application support, with a strong focus on HR and payroll-related systems.Core ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop custom ABAP reports, classes, function modules, BAPIs, and enhancementsBuild and maintain OData services using SAP Gateway and ABAP CDS views to support SAP Fiori/UI5 applicationsImplement CRUD operations, ensuring alignment with business rules and process flowsCollaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and end users to gather and refine technical requirementsPerform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning using ABAP Debugger, ST22, and SAP Gateway logsOptimize long-running programs and high-volume data processesSupport HR payroll processes, including CATS, payroll calculations, and end-to-end process flowsMaintain clear technical documentation covering data flow, logic, and specificationsPartner closely with frontend teams to ensure seamless backend-to?-frontend integrationRequired Skills & Experience7–10+ years of SAP ABAP development experienceStrong experience with ABAP OO, BAPIs, custom reports, and enhancementsHands-on experience building OData services and supporting SAP Fiori/UI5Knowledge of HR payroll systems, CATS, and payroll calculation logicExperience supporting both project implementations and production environmentsStrong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skillsPreferred ExperienceBackground supporting utilities, energy, or other highly regulated industriesDuration: 6-month contract, strong potential to extend 12+ monthsInterview: VideoVisa: USC/GC onlyCompany: Convex Tech Inc.Contact: anu@convextech.com
