Requirements and responsibilities

📣 Requirements: - The candidate must possess advanced expertise in accounting. - Prior experience in finance is required. - Strong leadership abilities are essential. 🎯 Key responsibilities: ◽ Corporate accounting, bookkeeping & payroll Management: - Spearhead monthly accounting close activities for various accounts including cash, prepaid, fixed assets, leases, accruals/reserves, debt, allocations, insurance, and equity. - Maintain meticulous bookkeeping records, ensuring accuracy across general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, and other financial statements. - Review and verify all journal entries, reconciling discrepancies, and upholding accounting integrity. - Oversee accurate and punctual payroll processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations and requirements. ◽ Strategic financial oversight: - Offer vital financial insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions. - Facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning in alignment with corporate goals. ◽ Taxation & compliance: - Oversee the preparation and submission of all Colombian tax returns, ensuring local regulations are met and tax positions are optimized. - Stay updated on Colombian financial regulations, ensuring company-wide compliance, and aligning practices with U.S. guidelines when necessary. ◽ Operational leadership: - Cultivate a culture of excellence within the finance team, driving continuous learning and efficiency. - Lead initiatives for system enhancements and process improvements, streamlining financial operations. ◽ Stakeholder communication: - Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, facilitating smooth audits by meeting requirements and addressing queries promptly. - Guarantee consistent communication between the Colombian finance team and U.S. stakeholders, ensuring synchronized financial operations.
