Build AI-powered chat systems at scale, automate with Terraform, and optimize AWS environments. They offer unlimited opportunities for learning and growth in a work environment that supports these ideals. 📌 Benefits - 100% Remote. - Crypto payment optional. - Become a Nexton Technical - Interviewer (optional, additional compensation). 📌 Requirements - A Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Demonstrable experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on working with AWS and AI/ML systems. - Experience with modern data platform tools such as Airbyte, dbt, Snowflake. - Experience with automating manual processes, particularly on Terraform. - Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data architectures, and various AWS services. - Proficiency with languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, or JavaScript. - In-depth understanding of deployment processes and data pipeline management. - Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on problem-solving and optimization. - Exceptional ability for strategic thought to implement solutions that streamline processes and enhance functionality. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams. - Strong work ethic and commitment to driving advancement to business outcomes. - Proficiency in written and spoken communication skills in English. 📌 Responsibilities: - Design, build, and optimize data pipelines to support a conversational AI product at scale. - Lead and facilitate the transition from a manually deployed, to a Terraform-configured deployment for the set of services that power our conversational AI system. - Manage, maintain, and optimize our AWS environment while ensuring its security, performance, and scalability. - Leverage AWS services to enhance the functionality and reliability of the AI system. - Optimize processes, such as on-demand download of data assets and in-memory caching, within a service that runs on a cluster of ephemeral containers. - Collaborate with full stack developers and data scientists to make services available. - Approach problem-solving strategically by identifying and addressing bottlenecks and streamlining system processes. - Stay updated with industry trends and innovations and incorporate relevant ones into our work processes. - Create clean documentation and clear architectural diagrams.
