We are hiring Deployed Customer Engineers…At Couchbase, our Deployed Customer Engineers (DCE) operate at the ultimate intersection of Software Engineering, Systems Architecture, Customer Success, and Product Feedback. As a DCE, you will act as the "boots on the ground," embedding directly into client sprint cycles to design and code production-ready architectures that drive down deployment velocity. What you will actually do as a Couchbase DCE:Architect AI Ecosystems: Build real-world implementations using native Vector Search and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns.Write Production Code: Deliver clean, scalable integrations, APIs, and data models in at least two major languages (Java, Python, Go, Node.js, or C#).Optimize Cloud & Edge: Configure Couchbase Server, Capella (DBaaS), and Mobile products to optimize for latency, throughput, and sub-millisecond reliability.Own the Feedback Loop: Drive 0% technical churn, troubleshoot distributed system bottlenecks, and author reusable digital runbooks or Gemini Gems. What we look for:Domain Expertise: 5+ years in Software Engineering, SRE, or Technical Consulting deploying large-scale data-intensive applications.Operational Agility: Deep comfort navigating Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift), and N1QL query languages. Our Core Values: A relentless drive to "Attack Hard Problems" and the empathy to "Be A Great Human".This is a Remote US position with global travel as required.
