As a Senior Staff Clinical Evidence Scientist in our Clinical Affairs function within the Spine division, you’ll lead real-world evidence (RWE) generation and global publications and communications strategies — translating complex clinical data into compelling, compliant scientific materials that support regulatory, clinical, and commercial objectives.What You’ll Do:Lead the strategy and execution of real-world evidence initiatives, including registries, claims databases, and observational studies to support clinical and commercial goalsIdentify, establish contracts with, and generate reports from relevant RWE databases and registriesInitiate and manage Investigator Initiated Studies, research contracts, and associated deliverables while ensuring compliance with legal and professional standardsDevelop and execute comprehensive scientific communication strategies, including peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, presentations, brochures, and lay summariesCollaborate with clinicians and internal teams to generate protocols and support data mining for scientific and commercialization insightsCreate high-quality, accurate, and compliant scientific communications assets for internal and external audiences (HCPs, KOLs, payors, etc.)Coordinate publication planning, timing, and content strategy while ensuring alignment with business objectives and differentiation from competitorsWork cross-functionally with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and external partners to align evidence generation and disseminationDevelop and maintain dashboards tracking clinical data, research activities, milestones, and financials; present updates to internal stakeholdersSupport evidence-led conversations with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders while maintaining full complianceIdentify and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality within the scientific communications functionManage external vendors and ensure cost-effective development of materials in line with internal policiesWhat You Bring:Ph.D. or other advanced degree in a health-related field (RN, BSN, BPharm, MD, MPH) is highly preferred6+ years of industry experience in clinical, healthcare, or medical affairs roles (medical device or pharmaceutical industry required)3+ years of experience in scientific/medical communications, publications, or relevant clinical research (PhD/Post-doc experience strongly preferred)Demonstrated success in developing RWE strategies, publications, and scientific communication plansStrong understanding of clinical research methodology, regulatory requirements, and good clinical practicesExcellent scientific writing, editing, and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiencesProven ability to lead projects independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence cross-functional stakeholdersStrong analytical and strategic thinking skills with high attention to detail and integrityExperience with clinical study management and publications processes (preferred)Clinical research certification (e.g., CCRP, ACRP, PMP) is a plusWhy VB Spine?We believe in growing talent from within. The typical pay range for this position is $155,000.00 - $165,000.00 annually, with potential for bonuses and incentives plus benefits.
