Position overview:
The Investment Analyst will play a core role in evaluating investment opportunities, with a primary focus on building models and preparing investment materials. This position is ideal for someone with a strong analytical foundation in finance who’s excited to contribute across all phases of the investment lifecycle in a hands-on, high-expectations environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Build financial models from scratch (LBO, DCF, merger, ROIC, working capital).
* Draft investment memos, lender presentations, and LP co-invest decks.
* Conduct market and competitor research using tools like IBISWorld, Capital IQ, and Statista.
* Support diligence workstreams as needed, including document requests and data room management.
* Assist with post-close portfolio tracking and value-creation initiatives.
Qualifications:
* 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, or top-tier strategy consulting.
* Advanced Excel modeling skills, with a demonstrated ability to build complex models independently.
* Strong PowerPoint/Google Slides skills with an eye for clear, professional storytelling.
* Familiarity with debt financing structures, cap tables, and US middle-market deal terms.
* Excellent English communication, written and verbal, with the ability to synthesize complex data.
Nice-to-haves:
* Experience using Capital IQ, PitchBook, or similar finance databases.
* Exposure to commercial market research tools like IBISWorld or Statista.
* Familiarity with data-room platforms (Dropbox, Google Drive, Box).
* AI fluency (e.g., ChatGPT) for faster content drafting and research tasks.
