GrantTree, the UK’s leading innovation funding consultancy, is seeking a Senior Software R&D Technical Consultant to join its R&D Tax Credits delivery team. This role involves analyzing clients’ advanced technologies and identifying development work eligible for government funding, guiding clients through the full R&D Tax Credit process. You will collaborate with businesses across industries such as financial services, biotechnology, engineering, software, construction, and data science. You are expected to develop a deep understanding of the R&D Tax Credits scheme and related funding options to provide accurate and effective advice. On a typical day, you will: * Work with writing experts to craft persuasive technical reports on client projects. * Attend conference calls with CTOs, engineers, and R&D professionals. * Review technical data or patents provided by clients. * Identify qualifying technology in collaboration with financial, sales, and account management teams. * Share insights on emerging technologies with the GrantTree team. Requirements: * Minimum 4+ years of experience in an R&D Tax Credits role with strong knowledge of UK R&D tax incentive schemes. * Passion for science and technology innovation. * Degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. * Proficiency in modern programming languages, software architecture, cloud platforms, databases, AI/ML frameworks, DevOps practices, and cybersecurity. * Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills. * Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects accurately. * High level of business integrity and ethics. * Preferably London-based, but remote candidates will be considered. * Full-time position.
