Requirements and responsibilities


We are looking for a Software QA with strong experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter and system integration testing. This role is ideal for professionals who have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of both insurance domain processes and technical interfaces (e.g., web services, third-party integrations).You will be responsible for validating PolicyCenter functionalities, rules, workflows, and verifying end-to-end integration points with external systems (e.g., rating engines, document management, payment gateways).Key Responsibilities:Functional Testing:Develop test cases based on business requirements and system specs for PolicyCenter modules (e.g., New Business, Renewals, Endorsements).Perform UI, rules, workflow, and validation testing within PolicyCenter.Conduct regression, smoke, and exploratory testing in test environments.Integration & API Testing:Validate Guidewire integrations with third-party systems via SOAP/REST APIs.Perform backend data verification using SQL and data validation tools.Work with logs, XML/JSON payloads, and tools like Postman, SoapUI, or ReadyAPI.Defect Management & QA Processes:Log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps.Participate in Agile ceremonies: daily standups, sprint planning, reviews.Collaborate closely with developers, BAs, and business users to understand expected system behavior.Automation Support (Optional but Preferred):Support test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, REST Assured) if applicable.Identify and propose areas for automation within PolicyCenter flows or integration points.Required Qualifications:2–5 years of QA experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (v9 or later).Knowledge of P&C Insurance workflows and business rules.Experience in web service/API testing, including SOAP/REST.Familiarity with SQL and data validation for backend testing.Hands-on with tools such as JIRA, Postman, SoapUI, TestRail, or equivalents.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter or BillingCenter is a plus.Basic knowledge of GOSU or understanding of configuration/integration layers.Familiarity with test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JMeter).ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.Soft Skills:High attention to detail and commitment to quality.Excellent verbal and written communication.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile teams.Proactive in identifying issues and risks.
