Requirements and responsibilities

We are looking for a senior backend engineer who is fluent in Python. This is a great opportunity to define and implement a large scale zero trust solution that allows companies to provide employees seamless and secure access to internal and cloud-based resources. You will be part of a passionate and high energy team that is creating compelling, new and innovative online technologies. This position requires someone who thrives on finding innovative solutions to real problems. Responsibilities * Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using the Django framework * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure high-quality delivery of features * Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code that adheres to industry best practices. * Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality delivery of software * Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in web development and contribute to the team’s continuous learning and improvement * Take ownership of the entire project lifecycle * Mentor junior engineers Tech stack Python, Django, GCP, React, Postgres, GraphQL Seniority 5+ years of experience using Python and Django as a backend engineer to build high- scale, product- focused web applications at well- established and reputable B2B tech companies Work experience * Demonstrated track record using Python and Django as a backend engineer to build high- scale,  product- focused web applications (large user base, heavy load) * Owned applications for 2- 3+ years and led major backend initiatives with success * Spent extended time in the security space (understands the inherent nuances) and/or experience at a fast- growing B2B start- up (must be hands- on) Hard skills * Strong technical fundamentals (90% backend) in Python and Django (non- starter) * Extensive Postgres and public cloud experience (GCP preferred)
