Requirements and responsibilities

Deer Designer is an eclectic bunch committed to helping startups and small businesses grow through high-quality design. With a global, remote-first team, we provide a stable career focused on innovation, speed, and creative freedom. The Role: We are looking for a Vibe Coder—someone who sits at the sweet spot where a sharp design eye meets just enough technical know-how to bring websites to life. Your primary mission is to convert Figma designs into polished, functional websites using AI-powered tools like Claude LLM and Antigravity (Cursor). You do not need to be a senior engineer, but you must know how to direct AI, spot when something is visually "off," and ship pages that actually look like the design file. Key Responsibilities: Figma to Live Website: - AI-Powered Conversion: Use LLMs and Antigravity to generate and refine responsive HTML/CSS code directly from design specs. - Design Quality Control: Act as the final gatekeeper for typography, spacing, and visual rhythm. If it does not look like the Figma file, it is not done. - AI-Directed Workflow: Use prompt engineering to steer AI toward accurate outputs. You will provide structured feedback to improve how our AI interprets and builds from design assets. - Collaborative Delivery: Manage code versions via GitHub and connect front-end pages to Supabase (or similar) when dynamic content is required. - Western-Market Sensibility: Apply a clean, modern, and usability-first aesthetic to every project. Requirements: Skills & Mindset: Design & Taste (Required): - Strong Visual Eye: You notice immediately when alignment, color, or spacing is off. - Figma Proficiency: You can navigate Auto Layout, extract assets, and understand complex component structures. - Modern Standards: A genuine sense of visual taste and awareness of current web design trends. Technical Skills (Basic Level OK): - Functional Code Knowledge: Working knowledge of HTML and CSS—enough to make targeted fixes to AI-generated code. - AI Fluency: Experience using tools like Claude, Cursor/Antigravity, or ChatGPT to build or edit web content. - Version Control: Familiarity with GitHub basics (commits, branches, PRs). - Data Basics: Comfortable learning or using Supabase or similar backend/database tools. Mindset: - Obsessive Attention to Detail: You do not let "close enough" slide. - Language: Advanced English (writing/reading) for clear communication with a global team. - Experience: 0–3 years. We care more about your output and your AI-workflow than the years on your resume. Perks: - Stability: Long-term, permanent remote contract with a London-based firm. - Time Off: 15 PTO days + 10 unpaid days + 2 sick days (after 6 months tenure). - Tools Provided: Subscriptions to Claude LLM, Antigravity, GitHub, and Supabase. - Culture: An inclusive, async-friendly environment that celebrates birthdays and milestones.
