The Licensing & Compliance Manager PositionSunStrong Management is searching for a Licensing and Compliance Manager to assist the Compliance and Licensing Team. This position supports the Compliance and Licensing Team to meet SunStrong’s business expansion and growth, contributing to the company’s evolution. The successful candidate will have precise attention to detail, a professional disposition and intrinsic motivation. They will be an energized team member who can work cross-functionally to define and execute on a vision for the business.Licensing & Compliance Manager ResponsibilitiesManages SunStrong’s Consumer Finance and Performance of Work license portfolioPerforms due diligence regarding state-level laws, regulatory requirements, and guidelines relevant to Consumer Finance and Performance of Work licenses.Works directly with relevant state-specific authorities to maintain required state licenses.Works closely with the business operations department to ensure field team is properly licensed including annual renewals and maintenance.Implements process improvements to develop best practices for licensing portfolio management and complianceManages state level annual reports required to maintain active licenses.Assists Director of Licensing in developing and maintaining Company’s exam management program.Assists Director of Licensing in developing regular reports on license status, compliance metrics and potential risks to the executive team.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the licensing function.Performs any other necessary duties as assignedMay manage individual contributors as assigned.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree OR minimum of 4 years of Licensing experience (must have Consumer Finance or Electrical/Home Improvement Contractor licensing experience)Experience using Salesforce, Adobe, Docusign4+ years of progressive experience in licensing, compliance and related functions within a large corporation or law firmExperience using the Nationwide Multi-state licensing system NMLS required.Familiarity with laws and rules governing state-level licenses, permits, and registrationsNotary public (must obtain if not held already)Additional Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong collaboration skill, and written and verbal communicationStrong research and analytical capabilities, paired with a continuous improvement mindset to proactively identify and implement operational efficiencies.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-track workflows, prioritize effectively, and meet regulatory deadlinesDemonstrated initiative and ability to work independently while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Ability to work as a team member and interact with other departmentsTechnically proficient and comfortable learning new tools and systems to improve legal and compliance operations
