Position Overview: The Senior Automation Engineer will own the design, build, and optimization of advanced automation workflows using n8n. This role goes beyond execution—partnering with leadership to identify high-impact automation opportunities, architect scalable integrations, and ensure systems are reliable, well-documented, and future-proof. You will play a key role in connecting tools, APIs, and AI-driven workflows to streamline operations across the business. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain complex automation workflows using n8n. Develop custom logic and integrations using JavaScript. Work with APIs, webhooks, and third-party services to connect systems reliably. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize automation opportunities. Ensure workflows are scalable, resilient, and well-documented. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing automations for performance and reliability. Contribute to AI- and LLM-enabled workflows where automation and intelligence intersect. Qualifications: Senior-level experience building automations with n8n. Strong proficiency in JavaScript for custom nodes, logic, and integrations. Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and system-to-system communication. Experience designing scalable, maintainable automation architectures. Ability to think proactively about process improvement, not just task execution. Strong documentation and communication skills in a remote environment. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with Python for scripting or automation support. Exposure to AI / LLM-based workflows. Familiarity with Docker and self-hosted automation environments. Background in process analysis or systems design.
