Plus, we know how to have fun while getting the job done!About the Role:This position will play a pivotal role in the accounting process by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial records, timely reporting and analysis of financial results, and maintenance of strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and strong financial analysis skills that seeks to improve existing processes as we scale our business.This position is onsite in Pleasanton, CA.Compensation:Base salary: $100,000 - $130,000Annual Bonus: Up to 10%What You’ll Do:Assist in the preparation of monthly accounting entries and reconciliations.Responsible for month, quarter and year-end close related activities including trend analysis, preparation of flux analysis, ad hoc analyses and various month-end reports and reconciliations.Assist in the preparation of financial information for external audits and correspond directly with external auditors to provide requested schedules and support.Proactive in identifying process inefficiencies and offer suggestions for improvements.Prepare and record various journal entries, including revenue, expense, prepaid, accrual, payroll, and intercompany transactions.Perform balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts.Complete prepaid and accrual schedules monthly to support timely and accurate close processes.Prepare and post payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts.Assist with flux analysis and provide meaningful variance explanations for management review.Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Assist in audit preparation by compiling schedules, providing documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.Support tax compliance efforts by gathering required information for federal, state, and international tax filings.Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A and Operations, to ensure financial integrity across systems.What We’re Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or Finance plus minimum 4-5 years of Accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibilityProficiency using MS Excel and MS Office products at an intermediate level to effectively manage, analyze, and report on a wide variety of data.Experience with NetSuite Accounting Software preferred.Strong general ledger experience with 2 years practical hands-on responsibility for accounting and reporting systems.CPA license or candidateExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and interpersonal skillsOrganizational and time management skillsWhy You’ll Love Working Here:Attractive Compensation & Performance Bonuses: Enjoy a competitive salary paired with performance-based bonusesGenerous PTO: 15 accrued days, plus 10 company holidays annually.Health & Wellness: Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision plans for you and your family. 🏥Exclusive Perks: Discounts on attractions, theme parks, shows, sports events, movies, hotels, and more through TicketsAtWork. 🎟️Beauty Perks: $30/month reimbursement for any Vagaro service, including health, beauty, or wellness treatments. 💅Food Perks: $50 monthly stipend for our onsite microkitchen and a complimentary DoorDash DashPass subscription. 🍽️Growth Opportunities: College Assistance Reimbursement, access to EAP & Work/Life Programs, and a LinkedIn Learning account. 📚Financial Security: 401k program with 4% matching and optional life/supplemental insurance. 💰Stay Active: Access to our on-site gym, flavored water dispenser, and basketball court to keep you fit and energized! 🏀Equal Opportunity Employer:Vagaro is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action employer.
