Requirements and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities * Lead and solve high-complexity engineering problems in power systems, transmission, and distribution. * Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to Engineers I–IV and other staff. * Review and approve engineering work, calculations, drawings, and reports. * Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor engineering work across multiple projects or programs. * Prepare detailed technical reports, sketches, correspondence, and documentation. * Act as a subject-matter expert and liaison for internal teams, clients, and stakeholders. * Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices and technical processes. * Maintain accurate project records and ensure all work complies with codes, standards, and safety requirements. * Communicate effectively with leadership, peers, and clients, both written and verbal. Requirements * Minimum 12 years of engineering experience in power distribution, transmission, or related utilities. * Professional Engineer (PE) license required. * Proven ability to work independently with broad latitude and to manage unreviewed engineering work. * Demonstrated leadership experience in utility/energy engineering. * Strong technical expertise in engineering theories, problem solving, and project planning. * Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage multiple assignments, mentor junior staff, and influence cross-functional teams. * Familiarity with project management concepts preferred.
