Responsibilities
As a data engineer, you will develop, optimize, and maintain data processing, pipeline, and flow for our operations team. You will work closely with our development team with data strategies ensuring adequate data infrastructure and delivery and test running to integrate company solutions. Have an excellent business and interpersonal skills to work with clients to understand data requirements and build ETL to ingest the data into the data lake.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain data pipelines and streaming.
* Structure analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline.
* Design and build visualization dashboards to accelerate information-to-action at scale.
* Develop programs, methodologies, and reports for analyzing and presenting data.
* Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources.
* Establish baseline metrics and analytics and maintain dashboards, reports, and executive
review documents for business outcomes.
Required skills and qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, math, or related technical discipline
(or the equivalent).
* At least three years of relevant experience with ETL, Data Modeling, and Data Architecture.
* Experience in writing and optimizing SQL.
* Programming using Java / Python.
* ETL design, implementation, and maintenance.
* Experience in enterprise data management/warehouses/data lakes.
* Experience in cloud technologies/ Experience with development on the AWS platform.
* Experience with Agile development methodologies.
* Hands-on experience in working on data integration projects.
* Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic
environment.
* Strong analytic skills.
* Project management and organizational skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* English B2 (Written and Verbal)
Preferred skills and qualifications
* Experience building data pipelines and applications to stream and process datasets at low latencies.
* Demonstrate efficiency in handling data - tracking data lineage, ensuring data quality,
and improving the discoverability of data.
* Knowledge of distributed systems and data architecture (lambda)- design and implement batch and stream data processing pipelines and how optimize high-level data structures' distribution, partitioning, and MPP.
* Cloud certifications (Google Professional Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Analytics.
