micro1 is hiring 20 Japanese Language Experts to create and evaluate Japanese data for LLM training and multilingual tasks. You will write prompts, translate and localize content, annotate datasets, and judge model outputs for fluency, grammar, orthography, and cultural fit. This is precision language work for native or near-native Japanese speakers with strong English proficiency.What you will doWrite and adapt Japanese prompts, instructions, dialogues, and Q&A for tasks like summarization, translation, and reasoningTranslate and localize between Japanese and English, preserving register, tone, and natural phrasing with correct kanji, kana, and keigoPerform data annotation: labeling, classification, ranking, and creating parallel text/minimal pairs for RLHF and eval setsEdit and revise Japanese content for grammar, morphology, syntax, agreement, and punctuation per style guidesEvaluate AI outputs for semantics, pragmatics, and register appropriateness across formal, polite, and colloquial stylesRequirementsNative or near-native Japanese + fluent English with strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and natural phrasing in bothProven translation, writing, or annotation experience with attention to orthography, consistency, and QC standardsStrong attention to detail for consistent labeling, formatting, and style guide adherence at scaleClear written communication for notes, feedback, and documentationComfort with spreadsheets and labeling tools for high-volume, deadline-driven workBonusKnowledge of corpus linguistics or prior RLHF/LLM feedback workComp & details$30 - $90/hour based on task complexity and expertise.20 openings.Remote-first with flexible hours.Ongoing dataset and evaluation work.To applyShare your CV, language background + proficiency levels, and 1-2 examples of translation, writing, or annotation work with your QC approach.
