We’re looking for an experienced Chief Medical Officer to join our A-team (hybrid*/remote). This is a unique opportunity at an innovative full-service global CRO.The roleIn this role, you’ll be responsible for setting the department strategy and overall utilization and profitability of Allucent Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance. This position controls and monitors the overall activities of the Medical affairs and Pharmacovigilance team, including overseeing safety systems and accurate reporting of safety issues.The CMO is a member of the Senior Leadership team, supervises reporting areas according to the organizational chart and reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer.At Allucent™, we are dedicated to helping small-medium biopharmaceutical companies efficiently navigate the complex world of clinical trials to bring life-changing therapies to patients in need across the globe.Key responsibilities:Identify, develop and implement the business strategy for the Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance departmentsDevelop and agree upon annual revenues, sales, profit and operational targets for the Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance departmentsEvaluate and direct the organization's activities to achieve targets for trading performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence.Develop and agree upon operating procedures / business processesPreside as needed over (senior) management team meetingsMaintain and develop organizational culture, values, and reputationReport to applicable stakeholders on business strategy planning, results and performance for the Medical affairs and Pharmacovigilance departmentAct as the organization's representative in its dealings with the outside worldManage direct reporting staffActively contribute to staff learning & development within the companyMonitor and assure client satisfaction on existing projects for the Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance department with related activitiesIdentify key accounts and maintain strong long-lasting relationships to win new and repeat businessRequirementsWe’re looking for someone with:MD degreeValid medical licenseMinimum 15 years of relevant work experienceMinimum 10 years of experience in drug development and/or clinical researchMinimum 4 years of experience in a management roleGood knowledge of GxPGDPR/HIPAA, CFR/CTR/CTD and applicable (local) regulatory requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English languageRepresentative, outgoing and client focusedAbility to work in a fast-paced challenging environment of a growing companyStrong leadership skillsEffective at problem solving, strategic thinking and conflict resolutionStrong presentation and networking capabilitiesExcellent organizational, negotiating and financial skillsBenefitsCompetitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits packageDepartmental Study/Training for furthering professional developmentMentoring opportunitiesInternal growth opportunities and career progressionFinancially rewarding internal employee referral programEligibility for our internal employee recognition programs for going above and beyond on projectsEligibility for our Loyalty Award Program in recognition of loyalty and commitment of longstanding employeesAbout AllucentOur mission is to help bring new therapies to light.
