Our client, a global leader in high-performance computing and large-scale AI/ML infrastructure, is seeking a Storage Architect to take ownership of the next generation of storage solutions. This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the largest GPU/CPU clusters and multi-petabyte storage environments in the world.
The successful candidate will define the vision, strategy, and execution for storage at scale, collaborating with engineering teams, researching advanced technologies, and driving a roadmap that anticipates future needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and deliver performant, reliable, and scalable storage systems.
* Partner with engineering teams to optimize solutions for diverse workloads.
* Anticipate and forecast storage needs, developing 5–10 year roadmaps.
* Research and implement next-generation storage technologies.
* Provide technical leadership and guidance across teams.
* Troubleshoot complex infrastructure challenges, including storage, OS, and networking.
* Integrate storage systems with HPC clusters seamlessly.
* Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure mission-critical uptime.
Ideal Profile:
* 10+ years of experience in HPC or similar large-scale environments.
* Proven expertise in multi-petabyte storage deployments.
* Strong knowledge of distributed file systems (Lustre, GPFS, WEKA, S3, CEPH, etc.).
* Background in developing advanced storage software or leading storage engineering teams.
* Deep technical knowledge of commodity storage and server architecture.
* Proficiency in Python and UNIX/Linux scripting.
