Job DescriptionGP Jager, a UFT company represents over eighty manufacturers of water and wastewater treatment in New York and New Jersey.With an expanded product line, territory and sales force, our product offering includes virtually every biological process, filtration, clarification, disinfection, chemical feed, and mechanical equipment available today.To be effective in this role, you must excel at time management, self-motivation, organization, diplomacy, conflict resolution and follow-up. The Engineering Sales Specialist's position is an outside sales role requiring you to meet and be comfortable conversing with consultants, treatment plant-level personnel and contractors. Plant level or direct sales activities require in-person consultation, demonstration, and problem-solving skills.What you will do:Expand on existing relationships with end users, contractors and engineers while building lasting relationships with new accounts.Provide engineers and end users a professional level of product promotion/selection, support and follow up to ensure projects are successful and to maximize sales revenue.Be self-motivated to setup meetings, product promotion events and relationship building activities to maintain frequent contact with your customer base.Attend product training seminars and participate in local industry associations and tradeshows.Travel to represented companies for training on an as-needed basis.Background/ExperienceWe are looking for someone with at least 4 years’ sales experienceWater/ Wastewater industry experience is a plusExceptional communication skills; both verbal and writtenMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or military experience with 4 years professional experience.Located in upstate New York, preferably Albany, Syracuse, or Binnington areasGreat organizational and relationship skills.Proficient with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with CRM systemsCompensation$90k – 100k base + commissionSalary Range$90,000 - $100,000 a yearPlus commission
