We’re looking for the engineer who sees a 47-step manual process and immediately thinks: ‘I can build a workflow that does this in 3 minutes.’ Someone who’s already experimenting with the latest automation tools before they hit Product Hunt, and who gets genuinely excited about making complex data pipelines elegant. If you’ve built production Clay tables that process thousands of records, wired up n8n automations that replaced entire manual workflows, and you’re constantly evaluating new tools that could give us an edge—this is the role.
About AICRO:
AICRO is the first operator-built, AI-powered GTM system for modern revenue teams. We engineer complete revenue systems that turn market signals into qualified pipeline—built by CROs who’ve actually carried quota, powered by automation infrastructure that compounds our execution velocity. Our tech stack is AI-native: custom Clay agents for signal detection and lead scoring, n8n for workflow orchestration, EmailBison and HeyReach for multi-channel delivery, Airtable for operational intelligence, Claude-powered AI systems, and much more. We serve growth-stage revenue teams scaling $1M–$100M+ ARR who need systematic competitive advantages built on automation, not headcount.
The Role:
As Head of GTME, you own the engineering and automation infrastructure that powers our entire GTM execution engine. This is a builder role first—you’ll be hands-on in Clay, n8n, and whatever emerging tools give us leverage—while simultaneously leading and growing a team of dedicated and offshore engineers who execute alongside you. Your primary focus is execution and technical oversight, not client management. That said, you should be comfortable stepping into client conversations when technical depth is needed—explaining how a custom agent works, walking through automation logic, or diagnosing a data flow issue. But your day-to-day is building systems and leading the engineers who build them. You report directly to the CEO/Founder. Expect rapid iteration, data-driven decisions, and the autonomy to architect systems the way you believe they should be built.
What You’ll Own:
Automation Architecture & Execution
- Design, build, and optimize Clay workflows for signal detection, lead enrichment, ICP scoring, and campaign orchestration.
- Architect n8n automations that connect our stack—Airtable, Slack, email infrastructure, CRMs, and third-party data sources.
- Build and maintain the data pipelines that feed our campaign execution (list building, enrichment, validation, routing).
- Create reusable templates and components that let the team spin up new client workflows in hours, not days.
Team Leadership & Growth
- Lead and grow a hybrid team of dedicated and offshore engineers—hiring, onboarding, setting standards, and holding accountable.
- Establish technical standards and documentation practices that let the team operate at high velocity without constant oversight.
- Build the playbooks and training materials that turn junior engineers into Clay/automation experts.
- Scale the team as client demand grows—you’ll own the capacity planning and resource allocation.
Technical Innovation & Emerging Tools
- Stay ahead of the automation/AI tooling landscape—evaluate new platforms, run experiments, and integrate what works.
- Identify opportunities to replace manual processes with automation before anyone asks.
- Contribute to and extend our Claude skill library—encoding automation patterns into AI-assisted workflows.
- Be the internal expert on what’s possible—when someone asks ‘can we automate X?’ you have the answer (and often already have a prototype).
Systems Reliability & Performance
- Own the reliability of our automation infrastructure—monitoring, error handling, and incident response.
- Optimize workflows for cost and performance—Clay credits, API calls, and processing time all matter at scale.
- Build the observability layer that lets us catch issues before clients do.
What You Bring:
Non-Negotiable
- Deep expertise in Clay—you’ve built complex, production-grade workflows with HTTP requests, AI enrichment, data transformations, and multi-step logic. ‘I’ve used Clay’ isn’t enough; we need ‘I’ve built systems in Clay that process thousands of records reliably.’
- Strong automation fundamentals—n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar. You understand webhooks, API integrations, data mapping, error handling, and workflow design patterns.
- Finger on the pulse of emerging tools—you’re actively tracking the automation/AI tooling landscape. You have opinions on what’s overhyped and what’s genuinely useful. You’ve probably already tested tools we haven’t heard of.
- Experience managing engineers—you’ve led a team (dedicated, contract, or offshore) and know how to set expectations, review work, and grow people’s capabilities.
- Data fluency—comfortable with Airtable, spreadsheets, JSON, APIs. You can debug a broken data flow without hand-holding.
Strong Preference
- Background in GTM/revenue operations—understanding of how outbound campaigns work, what signals matter, and how data flows from list to meeting. You don’t need to have carried quota, but you should understand the business context.
- Experience with AI/LLM integration—building workflows that use Claude, GPT, or other models for enrichment, classification, or generation.
- Agency or consultancy background—you’ve built systems that serve multiple clients with different requirements, not just internal tools.
- Scripting/coding ability—Python, JavaScript, or similar. Not required for every task, but invaluable when automation tools hit their limits.
What You Get:
- Competitive base + performance bonus tied to system performance and team output.
- Remote-first with async-heavy culture—we care about what you build, not hours logged.
- Budget for tools and experiments—if you find something that makes us better, we’ll get it.
- Direct access to founding team—shape the technical direction, not just execute someone else’s vision.
- Equity participation for the right candidate—this is a leadership role building core infrastructure.
