They work closely with the engineering, product, and research teams to understand what our products are capable of and communicate and configure those features successfully for customers. An Application Engineer begins by bringing a solid foundation in engineering and industry experience, then excels by diving head-first into our product portfolio and quickly becoming the internal Lumafield expert in their vertical. Forward-deployed engineers spend most of their time in our offices building their skills and mastering our products, but will also spend significant time on customer calls and at customer facilities to ensure that our customers can achieve their goals with our products.If you love solving some of the hardest problems in manufacturing and product design, working with customers, and learning new skills and technologies, this role is for you!What you'll doManage the Application Engineering team based in our San Francisco officeHire, train, develop, and deliver a world-class team of experts across Lumafield’s industries and technologies for Lumafield’s customersPlayer-coach – own one of our open Application Engineering roles, either bringing expertise in Electronics or Computer Vision/Machine Learning to our team. Perform the duties of this role and set the standard for excellence.About you3+ years managing pre-sales engineering teams5+ years of experience working in either the Electronics or Computer Vision/Machine Learning industries.Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Engineering or related fieldExperience with PythonBonus points forCT experienceMetrology experienceSoftware Development experienceSalary$150,000 - $200,000 a yearClosing descriptionThe salary range listed here represents the anticipated low and high ends of the base salary. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.
