We need someone who knows how to read and interpret them.We're looking for a FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team in a role that sits at the centre of how Aptem plans, reports, and makes decisions. You'll support financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the business, working alongside senior finance colleagues and partnering with commercial teams to make sure the numbers are telling the right story.You'll get real commercial exposure, board-level reporting, and help shape how we work as we implement a new FP&A tool.What you'll do:Build and improve financial models that support forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and long-range planning.Prepare reporting packs for senior stakeholders and the Board.Help translate business activity into financial outcomes and explain what it all means to people who don't speak spreadsheet.Work with teams across the business to gather inputs, challenge assumptions, and sharpen forecast accuracy.Support revenue forecasting by analysing trends, pricing, and business performance, then distilling it into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders and the board.Contribute to the implementation of our new FP&A tool, including design, data structure, and adoption.Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve the quality, speed, and impact of financial analysis and reporting.Support ad hoc strategic and operational projects.What we're looking for:ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent qualification or part qualified.Two to five years of experience in an FP&A or management accounting role, ideally in a SaaS or technology business.Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex data sets.A genuine interest in using AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or automation workflows) to work smarter and produce better insight.Tech-savvy and open to learning new tools; experience with an FP&A planning platform (e.g. Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Planful) and Xero is a bonus.Able to turn complex data into clear, simple stories that influence decisions for finance and non-finance audiences alike.Curious, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.A natural collaborator who enjoys working across teams to solve problems.BenefitsAptem offers numerous benefits to support our team.27 days annual leaveOption to buy up to 5 extra days’ annual leaveLife insuranceOptional comprehensive private medical insuranceOptional EV scheme with Octopus to make electric cars more affordableSalary Extras: retail and gym discounts, plus Employee Assistance ProgrammeSummer hours for extra flexibility in warmer monthsBirthday day offPension scheme to support your long‑term financial futureAptem Neighbour Scheme to connect local remote colleaguesUp to two paid volunteering days each yearBiannual company social eventsVirtual coffee networking to build connections across the businessAbout AptemAptem are pioneers in developing technology solutions for the vocational training, further education and welfare to work sectors.Aptem's mission is to create innovations that unleash new levels of efficiency, productivity and personal growth – something that we have been achieving since 2009. Our commitment to quality has been recognised time and again by our customers, award wins, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 accreditations, and Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
