Requirements and responsibilities


The Senior Production Manager’s primary responsibility is the management and execution of print production and direct mail campaigns. Requirements: ✅ Working knowledge is required in print (sheet fed, web, inline, DVPOD), paper, imaging, highly complex variable, lettershop, fulfillment and USPS requirements. ✅ Strong vendor management, print buyer, sourcing skills required. ✅ Experience in an agency environment is a plus. ✅ In addition to production management, this position will require someone with strong communication skills. Responsibilities: 🔶 Manage production activities on assigned accounts, collaborating with internal teams, from concept development through completion. 🔶 Involvement in creative reviews, retouching and prepress direction, printer’s proofs reviews, press checks and/or project audits, writing print, imaging and lettershop instructions, creating mail grids and managing execution with vendors. 🔶 Continuously research and communicate innovative production and industry-related ideas and technologies. 🔶 Strong knowledge of the USPS and how to achieve maximum postage savings. Share updated USPS information and regulations (rate increases, promotions) with internal teams. 🔶 Bring leadership to your teams through proactive strategy development, process improvement, alternative formats and cost savings ideas. 🔶 Manage the vendor relationships with skill, fairness, an eye for detail and a sense of urgency as you schedule and manage the outsourced production. 🔶 Maintain open lines of communication with internal teams, along with ability to be client-facing as needed. 🔶 Develop production schedules which include key dates for meeting requested production milestones and mail date(s).
