We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Job Cost Coordinator to support the financial operations of our growing carpentry business. This role will focus on day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll coordination, and tracking job costs to ensure project profitability. If you enjoy keeping financials organized and helping operations run smoothly, we’d love to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping (QuickBooks Online): - Record and categorize all financial transactions. - Reconcile bank and credit card statements. - Send invoices and track client payments. - Manage accounts payable and receivable. - Generate basic monthly financial reports. Payroll & Time Tracking: - Track subcontractor hours and labor costs per project. - Coordinate 1099 contractor payments using Elite Payroll (or similar). Job Cost & Project Financial Tracking: - Monitor project-level costs: labor, materials, subs. - Compare estimated versus actual costs. - Prepare simple job profitability reports. Cash Flow & Financial Maintenance: - Track incoming payments and upcoming expenses. - Maintain a weekly cash flow snapshot. Vendor & Inventory Coordination: - Track material purchases per job. - Monitor recurring materials and basic inventory levels. - Follow up with vendors and ensure payment terms are met. Qualifications: - 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (preferably in construction or service trades). - Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets. - Experience with job costing and project-based tracking. - Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated. - Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
