By integrating advanced satellite imagery and AI, SynMax delivers unparalleled insights into maritime operations, oil and gas development, coal inventory, and LNG flows, enabling businesses and organizations to make data-driven decisions with precision and confidence.Job Description: We're seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing engineering team and take ownership of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments supporting our industry-disrupting analytics platforms. You’ll be responsible for the management, deployment, uptime, and scalability of our core cloud services. This role has a strong focus on DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and ensuring the reliability of our platforms. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and wants to shape our technical architecture, operational practices, and future roadmap.What success looks like: Platform meets or exceeds SLAs. Incidents resolved quickly and documented with appropriate RCA and future runbooks. Additional automation helps scaling and relieving manual effort. Observability detects incidents as early as possible. Ongoing review of environments with stakeholders to identify cloud cost optimization opportunities.Qualifications and ExperienceBS in CS or related STEM field.5+ years of experience in an Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering role with expertise in Google Cloud Platforms (GCP).Proven experience with DevOps methodologies and building robust CI/CD pipelines.Experience with designing, managing, and deploying cloud infrastructure with a focus on ensuring scalability, security, resiliency, and high uptime.Experience with microservices, serverless/containerization and container orchestration such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Cloud Run.Strong experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, DataDog, NewRelic, Splunk, or similar technologies.Experience with Infrastructure as code using Terraform.Familiarity with networking, security, and access management within a cloud environment (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, full/partial VPNs)Strong scripting skills (Bash, Go, python)The ability to work effectively in a team environment with remotely located staff in different time zones, demonstrating strong communication and coordination skills.Preferred skills and experience:Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with hands-on experience managing and deploying services such as Google Compute Engine (GCE), Cloud Runs, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.Experience with Github actions.Experience with managing cloud costs and FinOps optimization.experience with ISO27001.CMMC Level 2.What we Offer:Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.A vibrant and supportive work environment.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.Access to the latest tools and technologies.AI disclaimer: We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
