GAMA-1 Technologies is seeking a remote AI QA Engineer to support the testing, validation, and quality assurance of AI-enabled applications and cloud-based systems. In this role, you will help ensure that AI-driven tools and software behave as expected, produce reliable outputs, and meet operational and technical requirements within modern cloud and DevOps environments.The ideal candidate has a strong software testing or technical QA background, experience working in cloud-based application environments, and exposure to AI-enabled systems or workflows. This is not a machine learning engineering role. Instead, the position focuses on validating system behavior, identifying defects or inconsistencies, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to improve reliability, accuracy, and performance.What You Will Do in This RoleThe AI QA Engineer is responsible for validating AI-enabled systems, executing testing activities, identifying issues, and supporting quality assurance efforts across cloud-native applications and DevOps workflows.Responsibilities include:Validate AI-generated outputs and application behavior to ensure accuracy, consistency, and expected functionalityExecute manual and automated testing activities across AI-enabled applications and cloud-based systemsIdentify, document, track, and communicate software defects, inconsistencies, and unexpected system behaviorCollaborate with software engineers, cloud teams, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issuesSupport testing activities within CI/CD and cloud deployment environmentsPerform functional, regression, integration, and workflow testing across modern software applicationsUtilize QA and testing tools to support validation, automation, and system reliabilityReview APIs, workflows, and application integrations to validate expected system behaviorAssist with the development and maintenance of testing procedures, validation standards, and QA documentationAnalyze recurring issues and recommend process improvements to improve software quality and operational efficiencyParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate within cross-functional technical teamsEnsure testing activities align with technical, operational, and business requirementsWhat You Will BringRequired Qualifications4+ years of experience in Software QA, Testing, SDET, Technical Business Analysis, or a related technical roleExperience working in cloud-based or DevOps-oriented software environments1–2 years of exposure to AI-enabled systems, AI-assisted workflows, or AI validation/testing activitiesExperience executing structured software testing and QA processesStrong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and unexpected system behaviorFamiliarity with APIs, software testing methodologies, and modern application workflowsStrong analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively within technical teams in a remote environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with AI/ML workflow or labeling tools such as Labelbox, Amazon SageMaker, or MLFlowExperience with testing and automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, JUnit, PyTest, Jenkins, or GitHubExperience supporting CI/CD workflows and cloud-native application environmentsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum software development methodologiesFederal government or regulated environment experience is a plusGAMA-1 also offers a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) savings plan, training and career development opportunities, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO - to cover vacation, illness or disability, appointments, emergencies or other situations that require time off from work).
