Requirements and responsibilities


General Description We are looking for a front-end engineer to focus on the development of our college counseling software, the DREAM App. You will be working very closely with the content development and business development teams to achieve product market fit; taking their vision and making it a reality. Product market fit will be achieved with the creation of a product that consumers love, fulfills their needs, and is intuitive and easy to use. We are working using Django as the main framework, and for the front-end development we are using Java, CSS, and HTML. Who We Are Looking For This is a project that aims to bridge the gap in access to higher education, thereby transforming the lives and potentiating the talent of many students. With this in mind, we want someone who is passionate and proactive about the work, constantly innovating, applying feedback. Skills and Experience (Required) 1. Proficient in English (written and read) 2. Portfolio of previous work (importance given to style and design) 3. Proficient in: Python, Javascript, CSS, HTML Skills and Experience (Recommended) 1. Fluent in spoken English 2. Has experience with Django 3. Has experience in product development 4. Has knowledge/experience on the application process for universities abroad Working Style: Will work in 40 hr/week sprints with weekly deliverables (hours are flexible as you will work on deliverables). You will also attend technical team and general strategy meetings. Responsibilities: - Write structured code. - Create the graphical interface and flow of the platform as established by the design team. - Maintain and improve the website/application. - Optimize the application to function at maximum efficiency. - Collaborate with the back-end and design team to improve usability. - Create quality models and prototypes. - Ensure the graphical interface is compliant with our quality assurance standards.
