Our client is a full-service IT solutions and staff augmentation company primarily serving government bodies, large enterprise organizations, and public sector clients across the Middle East. They are looking for Mainframe systematic consultants.
Work location : Riyadh
Duration: Long term (Yearly renewable role)
Core Responsibilities
Application Development & Design: Write, debug, and modify complex technical solutions using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM. Design software in alignment with specific Systematics modules (e.g., ALS for loans, ST for savings, or RM for relationship management).
Business Analysis: Bridge the gap between client business needs and legacy IT systems. Translate business requirements into actionable, technical specifications for compliance and product enhancements.
System Optimization: Analyze system performance, tune workloads, and evaluate data processing workflows for efficiency and cost reduction.
Production Support: Troubleshoot critical operational issues, resolve incident tickets, and oversee batch execution failures.
Migration & Modernization: Assist in moving legacy systems to modern cloud infrastructures or upgrading extended core Systematics application modules.
Leadership & Training: Lead technical delivery teams and mentor junior developers in adapting to changing mainframe environments.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering alongside 5 to 10+ years of hands-on mainframe experience.
Core Technologies: High proficiency in z/OS IBM mainframe ecosystems, specifically COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
Specialized Platform Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of FIS Systematics. Experience with specific modules like LN/LC (Loan/Line of Credit), IM (Advanced Loan System), GL (General Ledger), or RM is highly preferred. [
