Requirements and responsibilities

Practical experience in one or more of the following areas: o Data Engineering. o Business Intelligence. o Data Quality. o Cloud Platforms. o Master Data Management. o Big Data & Open Source Computing. o Software Engineering & DevOps. o Production & Operations Support. o Data Governance. o Business and Data Analysis. o Data Modeling. o Practical development experience with an object-oriented programming language. o Python and Java preferred. o Experience with version control frameworks such as Git and Subversion preferred. o Fundamental understanding of cloud services is a bonus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities o Highly proficient in SQL, and one additional programming or scripting language. o Highly proficient in MS Office Suite. o Proficient at writing complex SQL statements and interpreting results. o Proven experience in operational analysis, data analysis, and problem resolution activities. o Must be able to describe, document and discuss the business value of a proposed solution. o A fundamental understanding of metadata. o Proficient in reading XML and JSON. o Produces high-quality results and deliverables that meet client needs. o Collaboratively drafts detailed documentation (i.e., Design Specs, Test Plans, etc.) that have a professional appearance. o Deals effectively with all team members and builds strong working relationships/rapport with them. o Demonstrates ability to organize tasks and time necessary to complete assigned tasks/deliverables.
