Marley Spoon is looking for a Safety & Quality Assurance Associate Specialist to support the Quality & Safety Site Manager at their Newark Production Facility. The role involves ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, conducting safety walks and audits, identifying potential risk areas, monitoring and reporting on quality and safety KPIs, and managing the facility sanitation team. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and leadership skills, a problem-solving mindset, and 1-2 years of experience in the food industry. A bachelor's degree in Food Science, Environmental Health and Safety, or Quality Management is required. Responsibilities: - Ensure all facility operations are in compliance with internal policies and standard operating procedures - Lead internal safety walks and audits - Identify potential risk areas in quality and safety and complete root cause analysis - Monitor and report on Quality & Safety KPIs - Support in the interface with outside regulators governing safety - Input and follow up on corrective actions - Execute daily observations and walkthroughs - Manage the facility sanitation team - Promote a safety culture throughout the company - Assist in developing a Job Safety Analysis for each job
