Seeking a Mid-Level Visual Basic .NET Framework Engineer to maintain, enhance, and support our legacy tools while we transition to newer technologies. This role is ideal for someone with experience in VB.NET who enjoys problem-solving and ensuring business continuity during a technology shift. 🟨 Responsibilities - Maintain and enhance legacy Visual Basic .NET applications to ensure operational stability. - Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in existing VB.NET code. - Upgrade applications where necessary to ensure compatibility with current systems and infrastructure. - Document system changes and provide technical guidance to ensure smooth knowledge transfer. - Assist in migrating business-critical functionalities to modern architectures. - Optimize performance of legacy applications to reduce technical debt. - Work independently with minimal supervision, managing priorities and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently. 🟨 Requirements - 3+ years of experience in Visual Basic .NET Framework development. - Strong experience with Windows applications, services, and APIs. - Familiarity with SQL Server, database design, and optimization. - Experience working with legacy systems and refactoring codebases. - Understanding of REST APIs and integrations with other systems. - Ability to debug and reverse-engineer existing applications with minimal documentation. - Strong self-management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks independently. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously. 🟨 Nice to Have: - Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.). - Knowledge of modern .NET Core and migration strategies. - Python programming experience.
